We are having a baby girl!!!!!!!

I had planned on carving these in some cute way...

oh well, it was a quick and cute alternative :-)

Our little girl!!!!

Just weeks after we found out we were expecting Anthony had told me with a strange certainty, "I really think it's a girl." And he was right!  

I know the mom usually has a strong feeling one way or the other, but for us it was totally the opposite, I really had no idea and he has been pretty sure all along.

(last weeks ;-) I was going to do a new one but that hasn't happened yet,...)

We sat down at around 8 weeks along to talk about names-expecting that it was going to take most of the nine months to figure it out.  We went through a long list of saint names and reading about some and we were amazed that we had both agreed on a girl name in about 20 minutes.

Something about the name stood out us and we both new that that was the name we would name our baby if it was a girl.

I had never read much about St. Alice and sadly there isn't a whole lot to find.  There is also very little art of her, just images on holy cards. So, I started working on this sketch soon after the names conversation since we knew that at some point we would probably have a baby girl, even if it wasn't a girl this time :-) I am thrilled that we are going to be able to use it so soon though!

I hope to paint it and put it in our little Alicia's room :-)

I still have some designing work to do on it, but it is coming along nicely :-)

We are both SOOO excited! And I can't wait to get started on tons of baby girl projects! hehehe! I have so many fun patterns for little girl dresses and TONS of pretty fabrics to use up, so I am going to be set on projects for a good while.

More exciting news!!!

We have a house!!! A lovely little house just perfect for a growing family!

Waiting on all the paperwork and setting a closing date, but everything is looking really good! Please keep us in your prayers!

We are thrilled that we are going to be moving out of our small one bedroom apartment before this little one arrives!

And, I also can't wait to set up my sewing and craft corner in one of the bedrooms! :D
