Our Baby Buys

So we have just over 5 weeks to go and we figured we should start getting the basics to be ready for baby Alicia.  I did a lot of searching to try and find something we both liked, that would be good for boy or girl, and that was in our baby budget that we have been working on.  We are hoping that these will last us a good while (a few kiddos :-) )

I found this Travel System at Target.  I searched around on Amazon, ebay, etc. but this set is rather hard to find and pricing on any of the ones we liked wasn't very different on any of the sites.

One of my biggest goals was to make whatever things we have to carry or take out and about (like stroller, diaper bag etc.) would be cute (a must, right?) yet masculine enough that the hubby would really like them and wouldn't mind manning, even on his own. I also like that with something more plain yet clean looking I can dress it up with fun blankets for boy or girl.

And yes, more importantly, it had good reviews.  I wanted the best that we could get within our budget.  This one came out lots more positives than negatives and most of the negatives seemed like something I could fix or live with.  I liked that so many people said the stroller was easy to assemble and also easy to get out and put away. Pretty much everyone liked the car seat so that is another big plus.

This is the diaper bag we chose.  I liked how Anthony really got involved with finding the perfect diaper bag, haha.  The main seller for us on this one is that the shoulder strap can be converted to make it a backpack.  The only two negatives people spoke of are both fixable I think.  A few said that the back didn't keep its shape well after being filled (so it was uncomfortable) and that the straps were not comfortable in the backpack option.  I have plans for easily fixing both and am excited to share once we get it and I can test them out.  Everything else about it sounds very positive and exactly what we are wanting.

So, these are what we have so far :-)

I still need to get some simple things, like a cozy and warm go home outfit (I'd  like to take at least two outfits to the hospital with us), some diapers (we have some cloth diapers that were given to us by family, such a blessing! But we want some disposable on hand and some cloth for 3+ months)...in other words we still have a list. And I still don't have the things on my list for the hospital bag...going to be working on that.

For those who have asked, we have a registry at Target

Our biggest need is for prayers to get a house!
We are in the process of getting one at present, but could use your prayers that all goes through well and that we are able to get into it before the baby arrives.

Hope you are having a good Friday!
Have a good weekend!
